After a few hit and misses throughout the sixties, this feels like the album where Denny settles for a well-controlled snazzy bossanova sound. Safely trademarked with only a few exotic sound additions here and there, it is enough to establish that this is the Martin Denny sound, even after the popular wave of exotica seems to have passed.. something Martin Denny appears to accept and comes to terms with on this recording. Its sound is relaxing, and after the uninspired "20 Golden Hawaiian Hits" from the year before, Denny is audibly having fun and enjoying himself again.

It's too bad these later albums can't be found on streaming services anywhere today. This is one of those forgotten albums, lost in modern time, but it makes it all the more special to hunt down one of the pressings and play it for yourself exclusively, available on vintage vinyl only.
