An undervalued gem from the iconoclastic Palace of Lights label, Barreca is in full command of his synth arsenal on Twilight, creating slowly developing expressionist soundscapes that whir, buzz, twitter, hum and drone with the sound of machinery, tools and found objects. Comparisons to Eno's Another Green World and Cluster's Zuckerzeit come to mind immediately, but Barreca finds his own peculiar voice on Twilight, one that reflects Seattle's gray industrial skyline.

There are at least two pressings of this album, the one above (cat no. 05/1000) and the version I have (cat no. 05/3000). My copy has a slightly different back cover (Palace of Lights at the bottom) and totally different label design (includes track titles).
A classic synthesizer album for those who love the quieter side of Brian Eno's ambient works.
