This one's for McGriff completists. His organ work is quite good, but the background music is exactly that...background music. Schmaltzy strings galore. It's an enjoyable record, but definitely closer to easy listening than jazz. This is a 1964 pressing in glorious mono, and it sounds good, with a full-bodied and robust soundstage with McGriff quite clear in the mix. My copy plays nice and clean, with barely any surface noise.
