Come late 80's a Black Metal wave emerged from Greece with bands such as Rotting Christ, Necromantia, Varathron, Septic Flesh and more.
The album is filled with dark palm muted riffs, played with loads and loads of melody. The riffs are filled with heavy metal melodies and heavy rock songwriting with droning vocals and haunting keys to create the dark, sinister album. Drums are pretty much like Rotting Christ drumming, which works incredibly well for these guys. Repetitive melodic passages, never become tedious, and keep the dark, sinister atmosphere. The production is not the best like many releases of Unisound.
Album title means in ancient Greek, the one that brings (-foros) the light (eos-), in Greek "Εωσφόρος" that translates to Lucifer, again from the Latin "lux" that transtlates in light.
This debut classic masterpiece is considered to be one of the most influential albums of this era.

An extremely rapid pace roaring album that truly deserves a host of accolades, yet for some reason remains in relative obscurity. The album firmly places itself somewhere between black metal and death metal, in my opinion leaning heavy towards the death metal style in guitar tone and arrangement and black metal in vocal style. A great mixture, and wonderful album. Groovy, loud, and supremely talented music. I have no negative words for this piece. The guitar solos starting in Disciples of Black Sorcery set the tone, and by Towers of the Autumn Moon move into a melancholic, dungeon synth oriented sound, with synthesizers droning ominously throughout. This is my favorite Track on the album, excepting of course Warhammer.
The album is fresh, groovy, brutal and passionate, and an exemplary show of Greek presence in the 2nd wave scene.
