Notes
This Master release compiles all configurations of "The Genius of Earl Hooker," originally released in 1967. Many versions rearrange the track order and nearly all label changes came with a new title and cover art. The original artwork and track order were restored in 2006 by Sundazed Records.

The R. Crumb artwork is great, but I don't think it really fits the music. It's not like most of the other Earl Hooker stuff I've heard, but I really dig it. Best way to describe it would be a hybrid of organ soul jazz and raw blues, the organ is nearly as prominent as Hooker's outstanding guitar work. I wasn't expecting the poster to be included, because I'd read the comments here before purchasing. Thanks, folks! This is a sweet looking, and more importantly, sounding, slab of wax. Plenty of low end, and a vivid, full-bodied and downright impressive soundstage. My copy was purchased new and plays clean and quiet, with zero surface noise. Good stuff.referencing There’s A Fungus Amung Us (LP, Record Store Day, Reissue, Stereo, Red, White, Green Starburst) RL009R
I expected that poster too! That's a bad way to promote things...referencing There’s A Fungus Amung Us (LP, Record Store Day, Reissue, Stereo, Red, White, Green Starburst) RL009R
No poster! Emailed [email protected] no answer yet. Hope they try to make this right.referencing There’s A Fungus Amung Us (LP, Record Store Day, Reissue, Stereo, Red, White, Green Starburst) RL009R
Except it doesn’t. Just got mine home and no poster anywhere. It was sealed so not removed.
Shame as Robert Crumb poster would have been nice icing.
