Anybody care to comment on how this compares to the sound quality of an original 33 RPM pressing?

Great sound for a colored vinyl. No pops and noises after a cleaning. Super recommended.

Just had mine arrive in the UK purchased from the American store, shipping and cost of LP was cheaper than most records in our HMV stores.
Packaging was amazing, no seam splits and very flat centrally pressed discs, surface noise minimal as they are 45s

Since I liked a few of the videos of Gojira I had seen online I thought I'd get one of their albums. I came across this record used in a local store and thought, why not? I listened to the whole thing and HATED it! I was just thinking, wth am I listening to? This sounds nothing like the band I heard. The second time through, I realized something wasn't right so I did some research. I had to find out on here that THIS THING IS PLAYED AT 45 RPM! Omg... No wonder it sounded terrible. Not one single mention anywhere on this record does it say it is 45rpm. Nowhere. What else would someone think when playing a 12" record they had never heard before?! Once I played it at the correct speed, I love it! Sheesh.

Echoing what others have said. It's a poor pressing. 1st LP is really warped and 2nd has hard static like crackles in parts of songs. Even exchanged for another copy and it was even worse. A shame. A great album, why can't we make decent vinly anymore? They were doing it perfectly 50 years ago.

Fantastic sound! Great, heavyweight vinyl. Fitting color. Can't complain here.

Sound quality of the pressing itself sounds great. Very clean and detailed. Unfortunately My copy is warped to the point of the first disc being a bowl shape. Side 2 is unplayable. Real shame considering the price and shipping.

Decent, not great. The audio/music is very well mixed for vinyl, excellent highs and lows, but the vinyl itself is poorly made. Cut from some crappy master molds. Crackles and hard pops throughout the album. Could've been a really good pressing if manufactured better. Also, should've been 180 gram. And 33 rpm while we're at it. Why forfeit 45 rpm quality? Because then the LP could've included "This Emptiness" and "My Last Creation" from the deluxe CD.

letsrock805 shared the Tower Records link to get it. I received mine two days ago. I cleaned it first; which I never do, and it's a quiet press without really any pops or things like that. It makes since why they made it a 45 over a
33. 45, you're getting more data; more detail compared to the 33. The songs are long enough to where you're not feeling like you're constantly getting off your ass to flip or change the disc. It's great overall! Mine is a little wobbly but it doesn't affect the integrity of the sound at all. Don't hesitate on getting this!
