This is a mature and well put together album by ferry. This is his best work by far! I'm very, but very pleased and happy for his amazing productions and new classics like "Made Of Love," "Radio Crash," and "We Belong." From song 1 "Shelter Me" the album is set to be melodic, uplifting (Twice In A Blue Moon), downbeat(Black Velvet), and electro-progressive-trance experiments that sound perfect and give me an extraordinary ear pleasure (Feel You)... not to bribe on ferry, but lately we all know how the EDM genre keeps on getting more and more predictable and mainstream... and ferry has stuck to the origins of dance and brought this album, which in my opinion deserves more that 5 stars. Thank You Ferry.- Edited one year ago

Not a bad album by Ferry, following up on his sophomore "LEF". This album is trademark flashover trance with techy-electro tinges (brain box and radio crash being strong examples), but all in all (and 10+ years on) it is quite pleasant. Very much a sound of 09/10, deep club baselines like Tiesto's elements of life, twice in a blue moon moves through techy club grooves quite deftly. Not any especially weak tracks, its a nice snapshot in the history of the ever-evolving sound of trance. Poppy cuts like We Belong, flashover trance at its finest in the hugely successful "Made of love" and "black velvet", as well as some more old school system F sounds with Shanti and Gabriella's Sky. Decent outing by Mr. Corsten, well worth a listen for any trance aficionado.

It seems Ferry corsten looses quality with time, each Album is less interesting than the previous. I found this one a bit comercial and with tunes that don´t bring much new or something outstanding...it feels like this is a cd more suitable to be played at the shopping mall. Neverthless it is satisfying at some point and ends up being a good release, but its just a Cd to be played once in a year. - Edited 6 years ago

this is the peak for the corsten career,,in this album he prove he is a master of the melodies,
for me the best tunes in this album are: made of love, twice in a blue moon & brain box, the other songs are truly amazing too.
a nostalgic era when ferry produce quality trance!! referencing Twice In A Blue Moon (CD, Album) 900.0700.020
Ferry is the producer whose job in the last 10 years seemed to be, more than anyone else's, to create landmarks in trance music. How? By shaking and twisting its core rules, blending them to fit with rules of house, electro or synth-pop, basically creating something so unique that you cannot constrain it into a single musical style or even find anything remotely similar. And this album makes no exception: it has "Corsten uniqueness" written all over it, from the eerie and forward-thinking "Shelter Me" to the spacey ambiental ender of the album, "Visions of Blue".
The flow of the album is, like usual for Ferry's albums, EXCEPTIONAL. There's not a single moment that you're going to say "this track should've come a little earlier/later". The first part of the album is softer and more emotional, featuring some awesome vocal tracks (with the 80s-influenced "We Belong" being my favourite), but things evolve in an insanely energetic sound feast by its half (with the peak being "Radio Crash" and "Twice In A Blue Moon"), down a bit again with "Feel You" and "Life", then straight into madness again with "Brain Box" and "Shanti", after which the album closes with 2 minutes of musical bliss-"Visions of Blue".
It really doesn't get any better than this. "Twice In A Blue Moon", more than a trance or EDM album, is a modern-day musical masterpiece and let no one tell you otherwise.
