Grace Jones – Island Life

Island Life is a best-of compilation by Grace Jones released in December 1985 to capitalise on the success of Slave To The Rhythm released earlier that same year. It sums up the first nine years of her musical career and includes songs from all her albums, except Muse.
Some of the songs appear in edited forms, and a remix of "Love Is the Drug" is included.
The same tracklist was used for all versions except:
• Australian LP - Island Life - including a bonus 12" containing four additional tracks, "My Jamaican Guy", "Pull Up To The Bumper", "On Your Knees" and "Warm Leatherette";
• 1986 UK cassette - Island Life - including three bonus tracks, "Demolition Man", "Nipple To The Bottle" and "Grace Jones Musclemix".

The vinyl release comes normally in a gatefold sleeve.

In France, the compilation was re-released in 1990 as Dance Collection, then again in 1996 under the title Island Life 2, with four additional tracks, "Pars", "Feel Up" and two versions of the 1993 single "Sex Drive".
