Not a good pressing in my opinion, quite some crackles, the sound is good though

Bought it for a friend, who is a big fan of Twin Peaks.
And it’s perfect. The music is beautiful. The sound is very good for my taste. The surface is dead quiet - not a single tick (so there are the lucky copies).

… Ok, I’ve bought it for myself. Second copy is not as perfect as previous - a few clicks and some low level ticks. Still - great quality.

Agree with most here. It’s great music and packaging. A great release right down to everything but the pressing quality. Too bad.

I absolutely love the back cover, reminds me of childhood video games where you had to pick a character to play. Great childhood nostalgia stuff.

As others have mentioned... a real gem to have on vinyl.

This pressing is a risky proposition. I got three successive copies from Amazon, all of which were borderline unlistenable due to excessive surface noise. Vacuum cleaning with a Pro-Ject RCM and applying the Furutech Destat didn't help much. Returned two copies and kept the third, but when I went to play it again recently I just couldn't deal with the crackling and popping. So I took one last shot and bought a copy of this same 2020 black vinyl pressing from a Discogs seller and lucked out, with very little noise on either side. It's a keeper.
The mastering is another issue and as someone else said here, some tracks sound clear and open while others sound thin and veiled. I haven't heard the Death Waltz pressing with the ugly chevron cover which is supposedly remastered, nor the earlier 2017 reissue on Warner, nor the green vinyl version, so I can't compare it with those.

After all these years and different versions, this is still the best version to own! RIP Maestro

This soundtrack is groundbreaking and hardly repeated. It's a real gem in any collection. This pressing is great too, spacious and quiet. I bought mine at the time of its release and thankfully it's still in almost mint shape.
