Sorry guys, there is nothing intelligent here, pointless sound for the troubled minds. Supposedly requiring a DMT high (or any other hallucinogenic) to appreciate the album is a poor excuse. I rather listen to something with more sense, beauty and deepness (any that is) on my psychedelic excursions.

You have 2 choices, to listen to the bad reviews and pass this masterpiece up, or to get this damned great psychedelic album and trip like never before.

Listened every goa act since the dawn of the genre and this album has a special place in my collection, granted if you like mainstream/commercial acts like gms/infected/astrix (full on) infected mushroom mainly, you may not like this. This is for people who like weird (but intelligent) psychedelia, kaleidoscopic sounds to listen maybe under the effect of mushrooms or lsd.

Ubart mar is one of the greatest psy/goa producers, always giving to his albums his own imprint, unique stuff.

This album gets knocked by a lot of folks.
It's probably easy to see why.
However, if you take a look at the cover, you can
see that the artist, one Mr.Isogai, has provided instructions
on enjoying the contents provided within.
DMT, or your entheogen of choice should be helpful in the appreciation
          of this somewhat eclectic smorgasbord.
That, coupled with a pair of great headphones strapped on tight while wondering the streets of downtown Tokyo on a Friday night (Kabukicho anyone?).

If you don't like music, then this is the album for you. It will suit anyone who's angry or mad at someone/something, and this could be a quite inspiring stuff if you're planning a revenge or you just want to get nervous. I wouldn't call this "goa trance", not even close to it, if you're looking for goa, try their first album "Fusion" instead.

In another comment I compared Koxbox' Stratosfear to a good wine; something to be treasured and put on on special occasions or perhaps just a rainy day. Well, if Stratosfear is comparable to an expensive wine, Ubar Tmar's True is a Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche from Burgundy!

Boy, this is wicked stuff Ubar Tmar is asking us to deal with here, and something you have to enjoy as one long trip since, individually, I fear, the tracks will seem out of context. But taken from one side to the other this is deep shit! I can't label a single favorite here. All I CAN say is that you gotta work with this product to get the full flavour. I'm not quite there yet, but Ubar Tmar certainly is offering some aggressive, psychedelic trance unlike any other I've heard. Before and after.

Alas, if you're looking for psychedelic trance music out of the ordinary, this could be the doctor's order. If you're not into highly psychedelic trance, bordering experimental, stear clear. Some of this sounds like early forest trance, just before the trolls hid themselves in the Swedish forests to go even deeper.

One of the weirdest albums money can buy...
Ubar Tmar (or Takeshi Isogai) must be one of the freakiest Japanese people on earth (Thanks to Hisashi Ito for the quote).
7 multi-layered tracks with deep psychedelic grooves. Great production over the whole line, as can be expected from a producer of his standard.
It starts off with #1, low tempo and gradually you're taken uphill, with beats getting faster and complexer, to what I think is absolutely the best track, #6, which has an amazing intro that turns into a super deep, hard and dark groove with a powerful psychedelic vibe. Finally #7 has a nice and slow chill-out, cool-down effect.
Not every track grabs and holds your attention for the whole duration but nevertheless a very good album indeed.
Recommended for everyone who's looking for a deeper value in music...
