Snoop Dogg – No Limit Top Dogg

This release does not mention it but the Urban Legends release is Either Black vinyl or Clear Vinyl. I have the Clear variant and it sounds great.

There was a clear variant of this released sold through udiscover and urban legends. I have been waiting to see if it gets added to discogs in hopes to add it to my collection but does not seem to be the case. Unless someone adds it.

The censoring is comically bad on this. Almost worth it just for the laughs. Down 4 My N's is especially ridiculous with a terribly done chorus and... bursts of gunfire throughout the entire song. Much different than the official promo single.

Because Dre was absent from both “Tha Doggfather” and “Da Game Is To Be Sold, Not To be Told” his return on “No Limit Top Dogg” was a big deal! Finally we get Snoop D.O. double G and the D.R.E. back together again, and they delivered!

Most evidently in “Bitch Please” which is absolutely on par with their very best work together. A beat that could make drive-by victims take one mo crip walk. If that wasn’t enough we also get 3 collaborations with DJ Quik (“Don’t Tell” especially is amazing). Album is a bit too long and has a few superfluous guests, (my B-side is still in mint condition except for the joint with Raphael Saadiq). But to sum up, overall a strong effort. Second best Snoop album after the obvious top choice Doggystyle.
