- Edited one month agoTimeless Classic Techno 12", with "Oscillator" being the main track with its laid back vibe, I was always a big fan of "Paperclip Man" with its rough beats and dirty driving rhythm, "Gypsy Man" as you would anticipate has that Crystal Waters "Gypsy Woman" riff with a slight twist along with a deep dirty bassline. Fantastic 12" & well worth a listen.

First heard this on an hardcore mix tape in 1991, bought from camden market, london..awesome tune. Always use to remind me of doug lazy's let it roll tune..

Edited 17 years agoOscillator is just a wonderfull Detroit track. Warm synths, fantastic drum programing and a sublime build-up that goes crazy at the end.
This Retroactive release is a bit more up beat than other Retroactive 12", but do not let that stop you from buying it. Like all Retroactive records, it will be expensive.
Classic Carl Craig and a true divine moment in Detroit techno.
Oscillator is a stunning track, one of Carl Craig's finest. Paperclip Man is a dirty percussive workout great for mixing. Total classic.
