A fan favourite and actually my favourite of the folky electronica genre that was popular around the 00s: the third Zero 7 album gathers all the traces from trip hop from the 90s, the obvious Air nods from their previous albums and mixes them with a mood that is pure Alan Parsons in the 70s. The vocal collaborations from them, José González and Sia are great (and I love to listen to Valerie Etienne, even when she is just at the backing vocals) and everything sounds poppy, aor-y and just nice. My favourite may be This Fine Social Scene, maybe because I love the build up, maybe because it reminds me of the Valerie Etienne dramatic vocals in the Numbers album.

Sounds great and delighted to finally have their version of crosses on vinyl.
Mine is ever so slightly warped, but it doesn't effect the sound, so not to bothered

Another awesome release from new state. Unlike new state’s other two pressings for zero 7’s previous releases, this pressing is done on 45 rpm and to my ears is even more dynamic and rich. A great job by new state (again). Zero static. Hopefully they get to yeah ghost at some point.

I wasn't familiar with Zero 7, but I bought this album and another of their albums because I wanted to hear Sia. Now that I have listened to both albums, I must say that I'm very impressed with this musical group. Really beautiful sounding music and very easy listening. Pressing quality is quite good, although my copy doesn't sound as perfect or as flawless as I'm reading in some of these other reviews. Could just boil down to the time of day my copy was pressed. Who knows. Overall, I am pleased.

I think I have a variant of this I just bought from HMV, sleeve clearly states NEW9253LP but this is the call out for simple things. Anyone else ran into this or do I need to get a new variant in the database.

So cool this got a 2 cd reissue remaster, first two definitely deserved it, this one I wasn't expecting it but am glad they did & it's not just the usual CD singles remixes tracks.

What a perfect pressing! Even the run-out is dead quiet.

Wonderful! Excellent quality. One of the best clean pressings ever. You can actually feel the warmth from the songs and details that you couldn't pick up from the CD. This album is a masterpiece in the genre of downtempo, chill-out electronica. A lot of original instruments were used in this production and the vocals are some of the best in recorded music. A smart and rewarding album way ahead of its time. Don't hesitate on this one!!!!

My favourite Zero 7 album. Why this is not higher rated is beyond me. It is not totally like the first two, but still chill, mellow and top produced.
