      Best record from Belly or Throwing muses. Pressing is somehow dulled in comparison with the CD

        Belly's second album was bigger and slicker than their eerie, borderline lo-fi first, but it's still loaded with excellent songs and was sympathetically produced by old-school legend Glyn Johns. I was thrilled to find an unopened copy of this for a shockingly reasonable price on ebay recently, but it was pressed at the height of the no-one-buys-vinyl-anymore-so-what's-the-point-of-pressing-vinyl-correctly era. Lots of groove distortion, particularly as we spin closer to the label.

          Alternative music from the 90s. Songcraft rarely seen in this day and age. Belly were one of those bands whos haunting lyrics and emotional songs lead you down the path of enlightenment. Psychedelic/ rocking/loud soft an album that demands listening to the entire work.
