Nice presentation. Yes, good sound too. However, I have the feeling that the slight distortions in the first song "Leaving" can also be heard on this version. The vocals appear more emphasized than on the version of Shadoks available for comparison. The bass is also a little more pronounced. The recording is a little quieter. Nevertheless, it seems to me to be a little bit blurry in parts. Of course, I've never heard an original, so I can't make a judgment about it. I can only describe my hearing impression (RP6 with Exact).
It is very gratifying that this should be a legal issue. But it is certainly not an audiophile highlight. But I don't expect that from a recording in one go from 1971 in a probably small studio.

Lovely package. Lyrics inside gatefold. Sheet with information. Excellent pressing-no ticks, pops or surface noise. Excellent sound quality-ALL the instruments can clearly be heard with separation on my Linn/Ekos/Audio Technica. Came upon this album by chance last week-bought it without hesitation-and no regrets now that I've heard it on the turntable. Highly recommended.

just heard that the new legal edition of Grannie was issued 1st July 2021 and is in stock at fminor distribution, and is now available to order.

there are 2 versions - a gatefold die cut sleeve with 2 x printed inner sleeves & a printed insert, and a promo only single sleeve facsimile edition. they have diff cat nos.

the die cut allows 4 variant images to be seen through the oval hole, including the well known image which is on most original copies, and a repro of the more defined original photograph.

All I can say is that this (Grannie - Grannie) hard rock album is one of the worst I've ever heard, and probably the worst of the great year of 1971. And I used to have 5,500 LPs until 2007 (now all I have are 12,000 albums on my HDD...).

What morons call this "Folk, World, Country, Psychedelic"...?!? A flute and low production values don't make it "Psychedelic" or a "Prog Rock" album, and inept musicianship doesn't make this a Folk or Country album...I wouldn't pay £1 for this load of crap!
