Show All 12 Reviews- One of the best compilations that I know off. Different types of early 90s music yet very cohesive together as an album. And the vinyl dynamics are sublime.
- Edited 3 months agoOne of the best soundtracks of the 90s.
One thing I'm trying to track down is the "soundtrack version" of U2's "Until The End Of The World" (which has a different intro and edit after the second verse) featured here: https://youtu.be/8md8py8yVxY
When listening to the streaming versions of the soundtrack here in the US, the Achtung Baby version is what is included. Checking run times, it looks like the soundtrack version is four seconds shorter than the album version. Any ideas? - One of my personal desert island discs. Remember my dad was super stoked about this on CD back in the day and loved the movie. Still influential and perhaps a top 10 soundtrack. Was hoping the full track listing would get a proper release and this is it friends. Sounds incredible perfect sound and still sounds groundbreaking. Wouldn't change a thing and honestly this reminds me to snag another copy before it's gone. Amazing memories growing up to this, unforgetable.

It beggars belief that the compilers of this release left off the T-Bone Burnett track whilst including crap from Neneh Cherry. Stupid tokenism.
Unfortunately, the 2-LP version that does have it is worthless digitised, coloured-vinyl, 180g junk. - There's nothing about the music that hasn't been already said. If you're looking at this you know what it is. If you're into vinyl and are on the fence about this one, don't be. The pressing quality is outstanding with few if any ticks through the four sides and the yellow color is visually stunning. The sound smokes the CD version in clarity and depth. A very worthwhile addition to your collection.
- Fantastic reissue. High quality gatefold sleeve, poly-lined inner sleeves, excellent heavyweight pressing with clear sound.
- The only vinyl release of the soundtrack that includes Fred and Patti Smith's haunting "It Takes Time"! Much from the original score was changed for the other vinyl releases.....
