Just picked this up from my favorite brick n mortar shop. Sound is phenomenal. Both records are flat.
My previous outing with this album was a cheap, wax-time euro press back in 2014. My ears back then weren't as fine-tuned (and it was over 7 years ago) so I can't compare to this, though I'm sure it would sound like hot garbage if I were to do a side by side today.

Fantastic edition for a fantastic record. I can confirm on my copy as well the sides labels are inverted. This was my first Speakers Corner LP and definitely won't be the last.

Just got a message form Speakers Corner. The representative told me that this affects the entire first pressing (which they have sold out of) and will be corrected on the next pressing. I was also given this explanation of how it happened:"A little explanation as to how the mix-up could have happened. In our more than 25-year history it is the first time that the lower tape number (ST-A-59175) is the second side and the higher one (ST-A-59176) the first side of the LP."

Very cool, Im glad I got the first press, I guess it will be sort of collectible too.

Yep, mine too. Someone on the Steve Hoffman forums reached out to Speakers Corner and they said the whole pressing was affected. Oh well, maybe it will be worth more money some day.

Also reversed —
I’ve owned several original stereo copies also … they were all reversed.

I was actually looking forward to them matching. Ha!

Beautiful sounding release this is to my ears. The pressing is very quiet on my copy and I believe it's also the 45 rpm cut that makes it very detailed, more detailed then my 33 rpm version from a decent pressing from the 2000s. Those hot and high pitched unison themes get tracked smoothly by my needle. Well, very seldomly there are little tweaks, but it's vinyl and for me tolerable.
The design of the gatefold probably doesn't match current standards of audiophile reissues. The cardboard is fat and solid, though no tip-on the glossy or something fancy. The layout I find actually not as good as the original as the titles are repeated twice over 2 pages and those liner note filling a whole page is a bit boring. I wish they would integrated some photo material of this quartet into the sleeve design. The layout is definitely the weak point of this release.
Of course the music of this album is outstanding and I think the recording is a very good one, too. This remaster and the 45 rpm pressing make it shine even better. I only wish that the drums and double-bass would be at a bit more prominent (especially in the beginning of the album), but that's of course the mix of the album and no responsibility of the remastering.

My matrix matches up with this one but the label is the later green and red label. Anyone know what’s up with that?

Got this pressing from AcousticSounds for $16 american.. beautiful glossy cover, and sound is amazing. Hype sticker from Rhino says: LPs CUT FROM THE ORIGINAL ANALOG MASTERS

It sounds fantastic. Especially for the Price, im keeping an eye out for other Rhino Vinyl if their quality is this good.
