Should I be happy or unhappy?

Happy because it is the first CD release of "Precious Wilson - Only The Strong Survive (Extended Mix)" which is the best disco track for the girlies since Gloria Gaynor "I Will Survive". ;-)

The track only has a dynamic range value of 8 (as all others). I can feel the deeper groove and beat from my vinyl which brings my knees to dance.

Hazel Dean's "Whatever I Do (Wherever I Go)" sounds much better on "Heart First" (#2187998) - no loudness war on this release and a much better dynamic range (12 vs 8).

For me as collector and DJ who "lived" in the 80's it's horrible. The problem is always the same. When I can compare the tracks with other (most of the time older) releases - they are better and not so aggressive or compressed. And when I know that it sounds better on another release then I can not be really happy, or isn't it?
