I don't understand why they continue to write this lie, if Wikipedia writes it wrong and you don't understand... it's exactly the opposite. The first printing is 23,000 numbered copies. It was subsequently reprinted in 5000 copies without numbering!!!

Why did Billy not include the Infinite Sadness (instrumental track) on this release is weird, as it is such a beautiful song? As it is only featured on vinyl as the last track of the 3xLP Re-release of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness 2009. And was recorded during the Siamese Dream sessions with Butch Vig.

For a pirated edition , it 's great , perfect , and incredible . And there 's nothing to say about the booklet . In such a set, it is not clear that this is a pirated edition . 5 / 5

Mixed reviews with this one. Beautiful release with lots of different materials. The sound itself on records are hit or miss. Most are phenomenal, but some are overly compressed and muddy sounding. Nevertheless, money well spent.

Yeah supporting the artists is important but at the time I picked up a copy of this bootleg (or one similar), official copies were going for hundreds.

I haven’t heard an official copy but this copy is really, really excellent! The sound, the disks, the packaging, all of it. If it wasn’t for the alternative cover art and ‘Hut’ being spelt ‘Hutt’ on the barcode you would have no idea it wasn’t legit. It doesn’t have that hazey scaled-up-from-a-CD-cover look that bootlegs often have. Also, it’s the original track listing which is a marginal point but I do personally prefer it.

It has none of the issues usually noted in the official releases (notably compression issues) and it sounds exceptional. Weird to say considering it’s a bootleg but I would struggle to imagine the official releases to sound much better than this one.

I can give you the all-time answer to what is the definitive Mellon Collie version. I have compared the original cd to the original vinyl with alternate tracking list to this one.
The worst sounding of them is the original vinyl (1996) which is muffled and veiled, the cd sounds better and more open, but this one outshines the cd with an even clearer presentation, more detail and air, more separation and more feel. So here you have the answer once and for all. The best sounding version is this one, my friends, either you got the 2012 or the 2014 repress, it is the same mastering, the definitive one.
