First and foremost, this is an incredible ROCKING album, bookended by two of his most epic songs -- one is 30 minutes long, the other 16 minutes.

In terms of mastering & vinyl quality, one can be assured they're listening to the best quality possible, thanks to Neil's unwavering standards.

However, my only gripe is the design of the jacket. It's incredibly frustrating how tight the record slots are. This is no exaggeration -- one must literally rip the seems in order to stuff the records back in. It takes me about 5 minutes to put the records away after playing, and each time, the jacket becomes increasingly split and distressed. So the resale value is pretty much non-existent. Something for Neil to *please* reconsider next time.

Overall, this is one of my favorite albums in my collection.

I've seen Neil live many times since 1996... at those shows I have heard some of the most inspiring, incredible and insane guitar work ever...period. This album might be the first time he has truly captured the soulful craziness that is Neil Young & Crazy Horse, post the Ragged Glory era. Neil Young, Old Black, and The Horse just get better and Crazier with age. This IS the Neil Young album we all knew he could deliver again. The Promise fulfilled. Put on Walk Like A Giant and CRANK IT! Long Live the HORSE!!
