A vinyl reissue of this would be super awesome. Just please use the original cover art. :)

"Energy, Tension, Fulfilment!" This is one of my most favorite albums of all time! An absolute milestone in Ambient Dub.
The cover version of Moments In Love is outstanding. Anne Dudley of Art Of Noise wrote the piano intro for the covered version as well. Here's a video of the Art Of Noise performing that G.O.L. intro in combination with their original song:

I just love G.O.L. and I'm listening to Sensations of Tone now but why haven't they made another album? Also, are there any other ambient albums by other groups that are similar to this? Thank you.

Heard this back in 95 . Soma Holiday..... outstanding . I have ideas to remix my own take of it, besides it does have a dubby bass line ....infinately far away on holiday ....

Someone needs to either re-release this on CD yes that ancient digitally coded silver platter that plays perfect for decades in home or car OR at the least digital download!

After having listened to pretty much of deep electronic music I thought that little could amaze me at that moment. But when I stumbled upon "Sensations of Tone" I was simply put in awe. The music on this album is powerful and calm, rich and minimal, electronic and live-sounding. It is also melodic, deep, beautiful, emotional, hypnotizing... Simply put every positive adjective describing music and it would easily fit to "Sensations of Tone". Therefore I don't want to put it into narrow definitions like "new-agy" or "mid-tempoish". It is far beyond them. I also believe that this is a once-in-a-lifetime record for the musicians. They put so much of their creative power into the project that the result came out unsurpassable. It is even difficult for me to pickup standouts or favorite tracks. They all form Music with a capital letter. A timeless piece of art.

This is one of the most original Ambient Dub albums ever produced, relying very seldom on samples and producing a soundscape that is completely unique to the now-defunct Gods of Leisure. If you have even the remotest interest in chill-out music, and even if you're one of those goth type people who likes Dead Can Dance, there's something for you here. The lyrics on here come from Aldous Huxley novels and the Song of Solomon, and are placed in a completely relevant contemporary light by vocalist Antonia Reiner's awesome, strange voice. A must-have for ambient fans.
