Quality pressing. Vinyl sounds very clear with no defects on my copy. Vinyl is heavy weight. Cover is a quality gate-fold , replicating the original with a few small alterations (in comparison to the photos provided on this site) The inner gate-fold swaps right for left and the lyrics for 'Utan Utan' are absent ...just an empty lyric space. There's no explanation for this , but it's possible there was a copyright issue with these lyrics ? Also included is a one sided insert containing info on Selda's life and music. Vinyl comes in a poly lined paper sleeve. No download code. Overall, an excellent package and a treasure to have this special album on vinyl.

Poor audio quality on some tracks on this reissue from overzealous noise reduction. Most tracks are good, but on one or two the noise reduction is pretty noticeable. Still a good reissue, but just be aware that this was likely remastered from vinyl rather than tape.

For those who were introduced to Selda via her self titled debut and desperate to hear more, this compilation released in 2005 might disappoint a bit. While the power of her voice is undeniable, you won't find any funky drums or psychedelic guitars here. Rather, most of the album focuses on her earlier efforts in Turkish Folk. Expect somber moods and gentle guitars.

Stand out tracks are Utan, Utan and Karaoglan which can be found as bonus tracks on her self titled debut. Bundan Sonra stands as the one real gem here for those hungry for more psych funk (it can also be found on the Love, Peace, and Poetry series). Aside from that, Maden Dagi is also noteworthy for being the most soulful, emotional ballad ever recorded by Selda. You can just picture her recording this track in the studio with tears streaming down her face.

This compilation is for die-hard Selda fans only, those who care more about her haunting vocals and less about the psychedlic funk intstrumentations that made her self titled debut so addictive.
