Electrifying stuff.
To my ears a sweet pressing which feels very spacious, but I haven't A/Bed with digital.
It's also fairly quiet which is important with many passages on this record. I have noticed crackle here and there but I think it probably just needs a good rub down ;-)

Well, it's not an easy album! He didn't make easy albums in his later phase. But what he did make was something very interesting if you are bored of hearing the same chord sequences and ideas regurgitated. It is not easy listening and you are challenged, but it can be very rewarding to enter Scott's world.

He died today or I think .. But as for these records... He's crooning abstract poetry lol with all this cryptic random sounds... There's no drum beats on this record lol ... Everything since Tilt... What started this madness till 2014 with Soused.

Does anyone know what the differences are between the Canadian and American vinyl releases? They seem identical to me.

The new 73 minute Scott Walker album is as confrontational and devastating as it is astonishing and unpredictable. It's far more erratic and wide spread than The Drift which makes it feel perhaps less coherent but it is always shifting and always engaging. A highly recommended album that is still revealing itself after ten listens.
The CD version comes packaged almost exactly alike to The Drift with an outer box, a CD case and a tall extensive lyrics booklet.
