Alex Puddu – The Golden Age Of Danish Pornography

Easily could have been the score of one the Oceans (11-12-13) Movies.

I would suggest that most people will never find their way to this album, or perhaps avoid it, simply because it’s titled The Golden Age Of Danish Pornography, though yes, these songs are part of the soundtracks Alex Puddu created for a collection of short films.

I on the other hand would encourage you to listen to this album as smoothed out disco inspired Dave Brubeck jazz, laced with a very intoxicating sexy backbeat. Of course, due to the nature of the album jacket, it should probably arrive at your door in a plain brown paper wrapper, and while the song titles are certainly sexually engaging, those titles are more sexually related because the listener connects them to the album title, then (laughing) it’s your demented thought structure that runs wild with sexual manifestations and innuendos … a delicious comment on Sigmund Freud, where sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, and sometimes it’s not.

Regardless, The Golden Age Of Danish Porn is not embarrassing or at all suggestive ’til one reads the song titles, matter of fact it can easily be played for company as dinner music. The album (and yes, it is available as a vinyl and compact disc release, also as a download) is not expansive as an outwardly listening experience, but then neither is intercourse, where the musical structure is confined to a very narrow avenue of delight.

I thought these albums were so interesting that I've purchase the first two on vinyl, though I can't see myself purchase any more, as due to the nature of their creation, future offerings bring nothing new to the table.

*** The Fun Facts: As to the album’s title, the ‘Golden Age Of Pornography’ or ‘Porn Chic’ referred to the fifteen year period between 1969 and 1984 in America, though did spread internationally, where sexually explicit films experienced very positive attention from mainstream cinemas, the general public and film critics.

Absolutely amazing soundtrack album . Includes lots of groovy and weird themes very well recorded . Must have album for all lovers of the genre !
