- Ojos de Brujo (Wizard eyes) shimmers between rural spanish styles, hip-hop, rap and sometimes punk. A shot of arabic and indian influences sometimes and one of the worlds amazing ethno-styled acts is ready.
Founded in the melting-pot of Barcelona, which is one of the most important towns for creative people in europe, Ojos de Brujo is with Manu Chao the head of spanish style called mestizo-music.
Basic style for the group is flamenco and his little not well-known catalonian sister rumbla. With the different ingredients the group removes these old styles from dust and put off it into its future for the 21th century: High performed energy for dancing with non-reveal roots.
In 2004 BBC have choosen Ojos de Brujo for the best world-music act. Not a bad poll.
