Notes
a.k.a. #1. Fischerspooner's debut album was eponymous and self-released by the band in 2000 on CD in the US. Then later editions were renamed to "#1". It was first picked up by International Deejay Gigolo Records and released in Germany on CD and double LP in 2001. Then released in the UK on the band's label FS Studios through Ministry Of Sound on CD and LP, also in Australia on CD. The following year, after demonstrating its commercial fortitude, Capitol Records licenced it and executed the album's official major-label debut in the United States, February 25th, 2003, also releasing it (primarily on CD) for Canada, Europe and other major world markets.

This needs to be repressed on vinyl with the B-sides Sweetness, L.A song & Megacolonreferencing #1 (LP, Album, Reissue, Remastered) FSMOSLP1
I bought this in 2002 and I can’t believe what it’s worth now! Good album but the follow up is even better.referencing #1 (2×LP, Album) GIGOLO 70
Why has this not been repressed? Less then ten words, oops- The DVD Audio section is poorly mastered, with a fixed record level set ie in quiet intros or dropouts the volume increases but the minute a beat comes in everything else drops back. This is the case on Stereo and 5.1 mixes, and is most clearly identified by comparing the Junkie XL mix on CD and DVD. This historical method of setting volumes is not so apparent on the Videos, but it's amazing FS allowed this to be released like this (mixing current 5.1 technology with volume level control that went out on the 80s)! The order of mixes on the DVD menu is also not quite as listed above, although the menu options do play the correct mix.

Fischerspooner are the purest form of spectacle, a distillation of the universal desire for excitement and escape, a ploy devised by subversive artists to infiltrate popular culture and promote the intellectual pursuit of ultimate pleasure. Their debut album, '#1', is filled with moments that move between punk and pop, eighties electro and post millenial techno. Including 'Emerge', their debut single and 'artist statement' which freshly combines elements of (mainly) electronic music from the last twenty years, flirting with the classic pop format and running it through a filth filter.referencing #1 (CD, Album, Enhanced, Digipak) GIGOLO 70
