Ojos de Brujo return with BARI to enchant us with their witchy flamenco rhythms and musical fusions, bringing the funk from the jump with "Tiempo De Soleá," a hip-hop attitude halfway through "Naita," or a rat-a-tat rap on "Quien Engaña No Gana." (They save their full-on electronic blending for "Rememorix.") "Zambra" offers a Moorish lilt, and "Acción Reacción Repercusión" is a percussive onslaught. Even when they lean towards more straightforwardly traditional tunes, there's always a modern flourish, like the scratches on "Ventilaor R-80" and "Tanguillo De María." But the real magic is the interplay of vocals (courtesy mostly from Marina Abad) and the guitar, and on tracks like ""Ley De Gravidad" and "Memorias Perdías," centering those basic components help those moments stand strong.
