Notes
Images 1966–1967 is a 1973 compilation album by British singer-songwriter David Bowie.
This collection, collated by the US branch of Decca (London Records) compiled the following:
* All twelve tracks from the stereo edition of the US 1967 Deram album ("David Bowie")
* The two tracks from the stereo UK 1967 Deram album ("David Bowie") that were omitted from the US release (We Are Hungry Men & Maids Of Bond Street)
* The three outtakes from this period, as first released in 1970 on the stereo edition of "The World Of David Bowie" (two titles are therefore 'electronically reprocessed to simulate stereo")
* The unique titles released on 45s during 1966/67.
Apart from the mono versions of the fourteen album tracks, two previously released recordings were also omitted - the two titles that were re-recorded for the album (single versions of Rubber Band & Love You Till Tuesday).
Editions on the following list which have "Images" as part of the album title all contain the following track list; some of the others omit some tracks, others include additional tracks.

Love every thing David did back then. Laughing G nome is probably one of my favourite Bowie tracks for sure- Edited one year agoSuperb presentation and album pressing. Occasional fake stereo ( duophonic really) great full frequency sound.

I have a version of this but both sides of the inside sleeve are an article about classical music. Julius Katchen, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms etc. Anyone have any info on this version because i can't find it on discogs.- Adding to the comments below. Had never come across this until this year, and it really is a good comp, well presented, sounds good and is still available cheap. For Bowie fans you can't go wrong (you'll know full well which songs are turkeys or not).
- I fully agree with both Deanos and Flowerbed below. Excellent-sounding and nicely-packaged pre-Oddity Bowie comp. Probably the best option to get analog mixes of the songs of his extremely expensive first album.
- Edited 4 years agoPersonally I think this is the best way to have the pre-Oddity Bowie material on LP. Quality is enhanced by fewer tracks per side, spread across two discs (other collections of this period seem to cram more per side on to one LP). Thick German pressed vinyl with still the distinctive 'scarlet on white' Deram label. Rounding up the A sides and B sides of singles as well as the songs on the first LP. I also think the running order is really sensitively judged. Even the gatefold sleeve is a nice laminated chunk of card which is preferable I think to the cheaper looking Decca packaging on The World Of David Bowie with its generic typeface (used for their other 'get it out the door' compilations of the same period).
It's a shame the music itself, despite being crafted well, feels somewhat insincere in retrospect and 'desperate for a hit'....which of course the young Bowie was. Had he disappeared (and not gone on, as he did, to change the game for the industry) this would nestle well into that quirky niche area of the mid-60s like a younger mischievous brother of early Scott Walker (in fact I can well imagine Scott singing Sell Me A Coat and everyone calling it an utter classic!).
Instead of which we listen, enjoy the whole eccentric vibe of it but we also can't help thinking 'phew just wait!!!' referencing Images 1966 - 1967 (2×LP, Compilation, Stereo, Bestway Products Inc. Pressing / Gatefold) BP 628/9
Everything is the same on my album except the etchings. There is no word "bestway" in the etching. Mine shows etching as below:

I've got an American issue but the Run-Off is SABB 94985. Can't find it in this list. Oh yes, mine is Mint condition. Anyone help?
