David Bowie – Fame

Technically this is a third pressing. 2nd pressings were almost identical but without the rim text at the top. First issues were orange labels.

As awesome as “Fame” is, the B-side is even awesomer.

this is NOT the original single edit as advertised. not for the first time it's an inaccurate modern remake.

The recent 40th anniversary Bowie picture discs have been pretty hit or miss (which I think heavily depends on what source you get it from), but this ones pretty good overall.

Hmmm picture discs hmmmm = poor fidelity stick with a lovely yellow/oirange UK 1975 RCA-Victor dinked 4-pin OC pressing in the blue and orange die-cut company sleeve and you can't go wrong.

This release is just silly looks silly and is a Warner Music cash in on their now owned Parlophone brand = Odd and not as it happened! Nothing good about this release, The Looks, The Sonics, The now "masters" licensees branding (poor Carl Lindstrom! he's having an 'e££of a time the £ is the original and old German language letter L not the British Pound Stirling mark as so many people wrongly think the Parlophone £ represents,
It's L for Lindstrom!. Parlophon was originally a Lindstom gramophone for yes the>>>>> Parlour (front room).

I have this single and it's one of my all time favourites! I just wonder one thing, when I hold my copy in front of light source it is translucent and I can see the light through it! Also, it has a purple-ish glow! It might me strylene, but I know RCA used vinyl so I am not sure! Still, a wonderful single!
