I've read about a US 12" promo of this song that is 7 minutes long and segues into Iggy Pop? Anyone ever seen a copy of this?

Hi, my copy b side label is the regular orange rca / Victor but has no information on it ie artist name or record title . Is this a rare misprint ?

Mine is "mispress". The B side picture is rotated through 180 degrees.

I have a misprint copy where most of the text on the A side is on the right of the label and a little on the left. Instead of being central. See pic with the name MARK on it.

[I thought a lot of these picture discs were 10,000, whatever they feel they can sell in the current market. I don't necessarily trust them either. Who and what is there to limit them?]

Yes, I do play my picture discs and some of them play well. However, picture disc is not the right platform for such a sonically pure version as Sonjay Prabhakar's remix of Sound and Vision.

Some will be buying this picture disc to listen to: because it is the ONLY tangible way of purchasing Sonjay Prabhakar's remix, unless you pay more for the promo CD edition. I think it wasn't intended to be released to the public as it was only produced for advertising purposes and as a result is very short (1:50), there is a repetitive longer version.

That said the experiment paid off reducing the song to Bowie's voice, Hopkin's voice and the piano works beautifully. I have to say, for this song, I wouldn't want to hear it on a picture disc. Nor do I want to hang it on the wall (though the Man Who Fell to Earth image is classic, so maybe I should reconsider - perhaps it's better than a photo . . . ).

Does anyone know what 'limited edition' actually means with these 40th anniversary releases?

Does this sound absolutely dreadful to anyone else?

Side A's not so bad (a bit flat), but side AA's practically unlistenable. Loads of buzz and distortion. Like a badly compressed MP3 playing off someones phone.
