well look at that, DGM reissuing this on LP! I'm finally free- I have a copy of this that I picked up (sealed) at a Seattle record shop in 2009. It's a heavy, flat and quiet slab of black vinyl. If this was "mastered" from the commercial CD they did a good job...nice highs, mids & lows. If this is really a pirate pressing from Russia (as rumor has it), I'm impressed...
- My copy has a warp, but it’s a gentle one that allows my stylus to still track.
I bought mine in a retail store and had no idea it was (supposedly) a bootleg.
Playing side one now and being blown away by the music!
Great recording, all things considered!! referencing The Brondesbury Tapes (1968) (CD, Album) VP235CD
I paid for and downloaded this back in the day (2001?) from DGMlive website, following an announcement by Fripp that the only way to acquire it was via download, so I know there is a digital media form for this, but I wouldn't know how to submit it. To answer another's question here, I believe the Fripp legal team looks in on discogs from time-to-time and complains to management about bootlegs.- Anyone know why this one got blocked on Discogs? Seems like Tiger Bay has historically done a great job of clearing reissues beforehand.
- Edited 6 years agoReally nice pressing, excellent sound....happy that I obtained a copy, hard to find in the U.S. Will cherish this a long time...I prefer GG+F's pop in many ways to King Crimson and really enjoy their unique / jazzy music
- Tiger Bay you have yet to let me down! Stunning remaster of this amazing music. Crystal clear sound with excellent detail. Fat low end, nice midrange, crisp highs, not compressed, lifelike drums, nice full sound with excellent dynamics. Nothing to complain about here. Quality pressing with a dead silent background and no unwanted surface noise, no warps, centered right and comes in polylined inner sleeve. Thank you for making this amazing music available at such a high quality and more than fair price.
