Notes
"David Bowie" is the debut from 26 studio albums (1967-2016) by the English musician David Bowie, recorded 14 November 1966 – 1 March 1967 and released June 1967 in the UK, in mono and stereo (Deram DML 1007 / SML 1007).
The US edition (Deram DE 16003 / DES 18003), released in August, has a blue rim instead of white, and omits the tracks 'We Are Hungry Men' and 'Maid of Bond Street'. The 12-track version was also released in Canada. Other 1967 editions have the 14 tracks.
Most reissues are of the 14 track stereo edition, the mono edition being first officially reissued circa 2010. Some editions around this period contain many extra tracks, usually on a second disc. A few reissues revert to only 12 tracks, but not the same 12 as the 1967 North American release.

Reviews
referencing David Bowie (LP, Album, Mono) DML 1007
Managed to pick up an original mono copy. Sounds pretty good. It's the best I've heard this album. It's only a VG copy. It has the odd bit of surface noise, but never overpowering the music. Sounds good regardless as a lot of these Decca pressings do. Worth getting if you're a mega Bowie fan.- Edited 8 months ago

Once again with the current batch of reissues from this period comes the regular appearance of reviews where along with comments about sound quality and pressing comes the nonsense about how poor the songs are.
Guess what Dylan, The Stones , Beatles & Floyd amongst others all started out nothing like how they would end up sounding later.
Sure this is no Ziggy Stardust or Low but it is the sound of the Sixties and what’s wrong with that. - Edited 7 months agoAs mentioned by Rob_Byrne, 3 variants : Clear green, Cloudy Green and Cream/Green swirl.
This Blue/white variant is on sale with Fnac.com (France). When you order it, you receive the cloudy green variant.
Blue/white seems to be a mistake in the item description by Fnac and does not exist. - Universal have released three variants of this 2024 expanded version of Bowie's debut album on vinyl, each with a different final track. The best version to get is https://www.discogs.com/release/31328758-David-Bowie-David-Bowie as it sees the first vinyl release of the full-length Morgan Studios version of Space Oddity (the one that’s in the Love You Til Tuesday film).
The alternative version of The Laughing Gnome on this edition has been previously both on vinyl and digitally in the Laughing With Liza set. - Edited 7 months agoUniversal have released three variants of this 2024 expanded version of Bowie's debut album on vinyl, each with a different final track. The final track on this edition, the remix of Sell Me A Coat with additional backing vocals, is a horribly mixed beast that is for obsessives only (and I speak as an obsessive :-)). It was first released on vinyl the Love You Till Tuesday soundtrack album in 1984. - Mine was a lovely clean clear pressing, much better sounding than the ancient copy i had of this, and with the extra tracks.
- Haven’t heard the actual record yet. Sound quality doesn’t matter for me, I don’t like the album either way. Although I have to say, the disc itself looks really nice. Most Bowie picture discs do.
