The Cardigans made some of the sweetest pop in the late 90s, and YOUR NEW CUCKOO has that rock-lounge vibe that, while not as immediate as “Lovefool,” is awesomely catchy anyway. Ian Pooley’s “Hyper Disco” mix goes heavy and dark, retaining just a bit of the vocals, while his “Super Stereo” mix goes entirely ambient. Maybe just a little cuckoo, come to think of it.
