- I won one of ten limited edition copies that were not numbered (or at least mine isn't) from a Kerrang competition back in 1989. Still got the competition questions and Kerrang headed paper it arrived with. :)
- Nice to have the original (if incomplete) official promotional release from A&M. I haven't heard the latest RSD double LP by Revenge, but my '90s CD sounds thinner than this old pressing. As with other releases of the show, this is a very bass-forward recording. I think it was just mixed that way. Andy McCoy's guitar is very '80s — more of a postpunk than a proto-metal player. The raw power supporting Ig here mostly comes from the rhythm section.
- Top quality pressing, both records are quiet, no background noise, I confirm that the bass is heavy and really prominent but it sounds wild as Iggy was at the time (and the same for all the band with). A release to buy! No doubt about it!
- One little note. I saw this show in Boston in 88.
For the encore the band was supposed to do Led Zeppelin 'Heartbreaker". However The guitar player came back on without his guitar plugged in. So, while Iggy was ready to hit the mic, the first chords from the guitar were silent. Iggy immediatly turned and started smacking the guitar player while he was trying to plug in. They played something else but it's a shame we never got to hear that cover - Audiophile this ain't, what with the layer of sibilance hissing up the place. But the bass is meaty enough to cut through nicely and you didn't come here for pretty, didya?! Ferocious, tight performance with standout axe work by the great Andy McCoy. My first Iggy show was on this tour so maybe I'm just a little sentimental.
- Edited 4 years agoReally dig the colors of both records. The cover is also nice and well made. The sound is overall fine, but quite bass heavy. I had to reduce the bass by about a quarter of my typical dial setting. Other than that it's very quiet. Glad to have an official release of this! Long live Iggy Pop!

Performance and recording is good, release lacks the bare minimum: recording date, location, source.referencing Iggy Pop (LP, Promo, Unofficial Release) none
Why has the record label a photograph of Echo and the Bunnymen (unless I'm very much mistaken) on it?!
