- Edited 19 years agoIt's hard to beleive that no one's mentioned the B-side here, great as The Golden Path is, Nude Night's the real dancefloor destructor; massive shimmering synths, boingy bouncy drums and ridiculous sub bass. Best 49p I ever spent.
- Edited 19 years agoBelieve it or not I first heard this track on the sound system at work, I fell in love with it the first time I heard it. I spent 2 weeks singing it to people and no-one knew what it was, just over a year later I had a brainwave and typed the lyrics into a search engine, and bongo, there it was!! Can't believe the Chemical Brothers would come up with this, but I'm glad they did. The words are so moving, and the backing track does them full justice. Definately worth waiting for!!
- On first hearing this, I liked it but did not think it was as classic as previous CB material. In hindsight and after many many many listenings, I realise just how incredible The Golden Path really is. Very simple instrumentation from the Chems which works perfectly with the melodramatic theatrical vocals of Wayne Coyne from the Flaming Lips. I find myself listening to it, hands aloft, singing off key in a delirious state of euphoria for 5 minutes. One word to describe this track: Genius!
