Regarding the constant vinyl 'crackle' that's all over the 2021 Remaster of 'Ian Fish, UK Heir'.
I have the 2007 re-issue cd and the 'All Saints' comp that includes the track and neither have it at a level that's obtrusive. They DO have the gramaphone static that underpins the whole track, as it's meant to sound old and distinctly lo-fi but if you find the crackle and pop a tad too distracting then either of these CD's will do the job.

PS. Love the mellow feel of this track and 'The Mysteries' from the same album. Perfect if you need to de-stress.

This one is mastered quite loud on vinyl, compared with 1.Outside, almost like a 45rpm reissue.

The bootleg attribute really shines through in the different track listing conventions adopted across record labels. This bootleg also sounds better than it ought to. ;)

I've washed the second disc but 'Ian Fish UK Heir' is still as crackly as a bowl of Rice Krispies.
I'm late coming to this album so I've only just found that 'static' was used on the track. Although I also discovered some people claim there's an official mix without the crackle! With the state of new vinyl these days I wouldn't be at all surprised if the vinyl crackle is a fault. It seems excessive. I'm aware it comes to a stop before the final track but with such quiet music and tight grooves, one wonders!
I've listened to some YouTube uploads and not heard one with the same amount of vinyl crackle as my copy. So that's probably conclusive.
Any thoughts on this from other purchasers of the vinyl reissue would be much appreciated.
Have I got a faulty copy?

Its great to finally have this on vinyl it has a warm vinyl sound and depth of bass as it should have ...the cover should really have been gatefold for nearly £40 ..and the inners are awful ..very rough card with drab lifts from the cd booklet ..im not really fond of this cover it really is Bowies comeback but sadly overlooked ...after the pop of the 80s and grungy tin machine it was overlooked as marketed as a soundtrack with even worse cover ..it should have been repackaged with more respectful design ...the vinyl though sounds good though I did have one track with couple of seconds of scratch sound ...recommended highly for the music

This is the go-to version of this wonderful Bowie album. Had this on cd for years and thought it middling at best. The vinyl edition really focused my listening and hearing of this project, bringing forward the detailing and allowing a whole new appreciation of the song compositions. It's amazing how much relevance BIS has retained - both stylistically and thematically. The original production really holds up in 2022 and synthesizes all of the basic musical and lyrical tropes Bowie had utilized throughout the years up to that point. The result is that it today, feels familiar and modern if not prescient. I think serious musical artists are still mining the rich veins of music that Bowie has left us. I believe this project will only grow in stature and appreciation in the years to come and the value of this edition will increase. Grab one while it is still in print.

At last! Since I regained the vinyl habit in 2011 this has been my personal holy grail. Bowie really returned to form with this breathtaking collection of melodic songs and atmospheric instrumentals, and it’s such a shame that it was promoted so poorly on its initial release (and, indeed, not issued on vinyl). Thankfully this edition makes up for all that, with a rich, enveloping sound and a dead-silent sound floor. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
