I have a VG to VG- copy and this sounds absolutely incredible. I’ve listened to this album for so long and I feel like I’ve been missing out this entire time because I’ve never heard this album with such high quality before.

If you are fortunate enough to own an OG copy, you will find that this remaster is practically a paper weight. Use the vinyl as a frisbee because there is such a massive monumental drop in sound quality when comparing this to my OG uk. I want to throw this out my 17 story window. We need a quality repressing of this album.

I don’t get the hate. Phenomenal, landmark album and a great, heavy solid pressing with some great visuals and packaging. What more could you want? Sure, a little muddy and dirty, but when was Oasis not? This is stellar.

If you're talking about an audiophile experience, this is not the album / pressing for you. If you just enjoy the music, the Gallagher Brothers, and some crunchy metal music, then sure, go ahead. The mastering aint great, but I still love the album and play mine frequently.

Officially the best sounding version of this album, IMO. Like taking the plastic off the original tapes and hearing those inner details for the first time: Alan’s drums really jump out at you on “Roll With It”, Noel sounds he’s playing just for you after restringing his guitar! Songs like “Don’t Like Back In Anger” and “She’s Electric” have a depth and richness to the music that I’ve never heard before. This may be because it was recut from the original analog tapes by renowned Abbey Rd engineer Miles Shovell, it also corrects some sibilances issues that were inherent on the original release. If you’re used to the original CD like me, the difference becomes apparent very quickly with this pressing. It is a very top heavy record: cymbals and guitars are shimmery bright, with a well defined bass response and better dynamics than before. It’s also pressed on extremely quiet, heavy vinyl.

Stomps all over the 2014 press, and maybe the original Damont issue, for that matter. Get yourself a copy, and don’t let it go.

This version is selling for £32 on unified goods. Words.
