Nope--arranged, expanded, and produced for LP & 45 specifically--although the original (16 minute) version was indeed performed on radio many years before. This was indeed high fidelity for its time from one of the country's major studios; I'm wondering if your copy may have been played many times and the high frequencies worn down, as often happens with LPs of that period played on equipment with heavy tonearms.
