The Cramps – Bad Music For Bad People

I saw this on a forum and assumed it was someone's Photoshop jackassery. Nope. It actually happened!

Does anyone know what the matrix is on this and what the label looks like?

What's the story behind these bootlegs? I recently sold my Drastic Plastic reissue (with moderate to severe regret), and was looking for a cheap replacement that sounds passable. It's the Cramps. Expecting hi-fidelity would be absurd by virtue of the Cramps being the Cramps.

OK, so this is pretty damn close (some could say exactly like it) to the umm… “unofficial” release I picked up in Dublin. Gotta agree with the other review that it sounds really good. Like really worth the roll of the dice at around $15 if you come across something similar. Or drop the serious $$$ on the ‘84 press (that you so stupidly got rid of in ‘91 or so when you moved out of that girlfriend’s house) or Kevin’s Drastic Plastic release.

My setup: Technics SL-1500C (Ortofon Blue cartridge), Pro-Ject Tube Box S2, Yamaha A-S801, Wharfedale Linton Speakers

Great sounding pressing. Well worth picking up if you can find one.

Very rough edges and loose pieces of vinyl but once you get it cleaned up it sounds decent. An occasional pop but mostly quiet between tracks. Slightly off center. Not bad, not great, about what you'd expect.
