- "Singularity", the 'A' side is an improvisation from 1993 using a single sheet of metal. Not knowing this you would have taken it as a much more complicated composition. A regular flat metal beat rises up, quickly followed by shimmering, screaming noise. The track dies away with fragments of sound chipping at each other. "Thunder Rain" & "Thunder Storm" were recorded back in 1990, the first being a sustaining swell of what sounds like keyboard chords, dark organ music within which rhythmic structures keep almost completely hidden. The cumulative effect of the track, as it grows and metamorphosizes is impressive - a bizarre fugue of disconnected chords. The second track loops like a stadium performance by the BBC RADIOPHONIC STUDIO - cycles of sustained machine noise, mimicking generators or throbbing machines mesh together, knitting into a cold, dehumanized wall of Industrial images. BEEQUEEN are uncompromisingly Industrial, and you never know when something lulling & looping is going to burst into nerve-jarring splinters of white-hot cacophony.
