Last I'd heard, Suede had called it quits. I assumed that they'd gotten burned out and the only thing we'd hear from them would be the endlessly re-packaged "greatest hits" compilations that the record labels love to put out every holiday season.

So, when this album came out, I wasn't sure what to expect. With some hesitation, I picked up this album and gave it a spin. Suddenly I was back in the glory days of Britpop hearing Suede doing what they do best: sound like Suede!

This album, while not breaking any new ground, also doesn't sound like a collection of throw away songs trying to make an attempted comeback. It's another fine chapter in the Suede chronology and manages to capture elements from all their prior albums. Clearly the band's break reinvigorated them.
