Kurt Vile – Wakin On A Pretty Daze

Love everything about this! The split color is stunning, the stickers are fun (project with my 5 year old to decorate the cover) and most importantly, it sounds great!

Such an amazing musical album but had to return it! Side A and B out of tune with side B skipping continuously, that’s a first for me. Will hopefully get a good copy next time…

This is one of my favorite pieces in my record collection! The packaging is a real work of art. It uses thick cardstock, with art printed on every side. It also includes a printed double sided lyric sheet. The yellow vinyl is beautiful and really fits the aesthetic of the album. The sound quality is only okay - I think the album could have used a remaster, but it sounds fine. No reason to pick this up if you have the original pressing.

Good pressing, both LPs are flat. Some surface noise between tracks. This is the special edition version with the stickers so you can customize your own cover.

My copy is flat, clean, quiet, sounds like a million bucks.

I was about to give it a shot at 19 euros from a local second hand shop. But might as well wait for the special edition that comes out at the end of August. Although that one will be 30 something euros. Any hope that the new pressing give some justice to this amazing album?

I've had two albums with the same defect: way off centered b-sides. Never happened me before on any album. Don't dare buying it any more.

Great album, bad pressing. It sounds flat, compressed, no brights.

Sounds incredible on my system. Huge, with loads of detail where it counts.
