- With a total running time of only 71' knowing a CD can hold up to circa 79', this release could have added a few minutes more when we compare the tracks' duration here and the ones from the original WAV comp (total running time of 82'43) even though they're mixed here. For instance tracks #5 and #9 last 10' and 8'20 respectively in the latter compared to 6'35 and 5'42 here.
The opportunity also here to speak about the sound quality. All CDs from this label in my possession sound way too loud and they all seem to have been recorded this way; sure for downtempo releases it's not really a embarrassment but for others it can be.
Anyway these remarks don't detract from the high quality of selection made by the label's creators but a double LP release with the full length tracks could come as a great option for this great series. - This is the first attempt to create something new in progressive-ambient forms, literally a shocking one.
- I'm fully agreed with my pre-reviewer. This compilation is really true quintessence of electro/ambient world music. By listening, sounds move you to remote corners of magic landscapes, to space dimension, imagining once cosmos another tribal places...Every of tracks gets in euphoric mood, great spirit of life and are one and only in them kind, very special. Recommended by me are Khetzal, Nuclear Ramjet, Aes Dana and Ephemeral Mists. However rest of tunes are brilliant as well. Absolutely awesome!!!
- Edited 19 years agoThis album is close to anything that could be called awesome. Ultimae records is known for releasing top-notch ambient, but this compilation is beyond anything they've released so far. Solar Fields, Vibrasphere, Khetzal, Aes Dana and Chi-A.D. The names speak for themselves, as The Fahrenheit Project part 2 is the culmination of several great ambient artists merged and mixed together into a floating wonderland with a runtime of 71:16. This is an album any Ambient lover should never be without.
