Thrilled to finally own this underrated classic! Sound is quite good for a later era Impulse record EXCEPT for Memories of Lee Morgan which is plagued with distortion. Anyone else have this issue? VG+ copy, visually looks fine and every other track sounds good.
The music is truly 10/10, and so is the pressing. I was absolutely blown away by both of these factors while enjoying my first listen.
I go back to it for these reasons and always will.
Would love to hear more reviews from folks. Anyone have thoughts?- Edited 5 months agoExcellent release. The sound is great - open, detailed and alive. Flawless vinyl quality, the surface is absolutely quiet, good gatefold packing.

- Edited 2 years agoIf this had come from anyone else except Sanders, it would've been hailed as non-stop spiritual tour-de-force. But because there are no bells or yodelling it get's a bad rap, probably from the same folks who dismiss his other LPs for the yodelling
Edited 2 years agoPharoah’s weirdest? This is the kind of psychedelic, meditative session that Don Cherry would have approved. One of my favorite records from this PS era. Nice big, clean sound on this pressing.
