- My pressing sounds gorgeous and quiet. A great sophomore record that serves as a defining statement in achievement of his craft.
- Great album but there are some sibilance issues when James sings in a higher range. Instrumentals sound great but at quiet passes surface noise can be noticeable. This is an album which I think would really benefit from a higher quality cartridge.
- Mine has these run out markings, but again none of the limited edition numbering. Although a little surface noise now and again I just love the pressing of this record, all the sub comes through for me beautifully. And feels totally balanced across the whole sonic range. I have an LP12 with many trimmings, Krystal and Spendor A5s. This record reaches out and covers you in its honey.
- Edited 4 years agoThis is a weird record for me. Although the music sounds really good, there's a lot of noise at the beginning of Sides A and B. After awhile, you forget it's there because the music is so good, but it's pretty distracting at first.
- My copy came without lithography, neither signed or numbered. I'm assuming this record has been repressed several times by now since winning the Mercury Prize... Sound quality wise it's very good.

The LP has less echo in the music as the digital file. (every dac has its own interpretation of course but there is a significant audible difference). After extensive listening I would say I prefer the digital file (mostly it's the other way round).- Edited 10 years agoGreat buy. Overall great value for the album, has a massive yet very clear sound without the ring of digital
Side A B C are ++++ and very consistent both in terms of music and sound quality, side D is slightly different and perhaps not as "easy" to access, but yet more intriguing. if I have a minor comment perhaps the sound could have been even better with a 45rpm pressing (?). Overall excellent release.
