Reviews
Show All 24 Reviews- Excellent pressing of a Wipers classic. “Over the edge”, “No one wants an alien”, “Doom town”, “No generation gap” are all top songs in the catalogue of a band that seamlessly fuses melody and driving, loud guitar punk, melancholy and anger. Top recommendation for both content and pressing quality.
- Nice and clean pressing but not a great value. Color vinyl is an odd color choice. Etching is nice but a waste of space. Bonus material could be better. Overpriced.
- Edited 3 months agoUnless you bought it at Plaidroom like I did, this is definitely not overpriced. At $35 retail (or less as I see here), I think would be a good deal (I paid $10 above that though). Quality pressing, mastered by Kevin Gray with a half LP's worth of bonus material. I'm sure they would have included a full LP's worth if they had the material, but I'll take it. I just wish there was some kind of standardized retail price on these so that record stores wouldn't use these Record Store Days to rip people off. Although, to be honest, there isn't much I do like about RSD. I'm just glad I now have all the deluxe Wipers anniversary editions so maybe I don't have to participate in this nonsense. The Wipers suck me in every time.
- Edited 3 months agoOverpriced RSD edition. Save your bucks for a cheaper version or a heavily discounted copy. Two LPs but really not much in terms of the bonus material.
- I can't believe I paid $100 Australian dollars for this today thinking I had scored something special.
I should have just settled with trying to score the single Jackpot! version but I got all excited about Record Store Day and indulged.
Apart from the red coloured vinyl the bonus stuff is only on one side of the pink bonus disc.
Only buy it if you are a die-hard fan otherwise you aren't getting much. - Does the price point on this release seem WAY out of line to anyone else but me? This is an $80 record here in Canada. My mind cannot comprehend this.....
- Sold this copy a while ago, Sounds like complete SHIT! Bonus track or not, flimsy ass sleeve as well, screams boot!
