- As stated before GZ is hit or miss. I’d venture so important to have early pressings from the stamper. Like I what It seems i got. This is dead silent great sounding vinyl. Mastering is very good. The original vinyl Is amazing. This is great too. Nice to have some more material. Strange that they didn’t give full versions and the extended remixes thought that’s what we were buying. Could be stuff was lost. Wil keep eyes out for notes from David on this. . Not disappointed though. Great addition.
- The sleeve in the picture for this listing and all of the copies we have here at the shop say "Made in U.S.A." not made in Czech Republic.
- Sounds like a straight cd-to-vinyl production. It contains the edited versions of some tracks, in stead of the slightly longer cuts one can hear on the dvd/laserdisk/vhs. Even with the full length versions there would have been space to include the 12” ‘dance mix’ of Big Business. Yet another lazy RSD release alas..
- A superb pressing: excellent sound; clean, quiet, and perfectly centered. This release is a welcome addition to the David Byrne/Talking Heads collection.
- As nice as this is it still has the shorter version of “Two soldiers”. Other edits were made for the CD release and this mirrors them. Sad. But record companies don’t care whatsoever. Wankers.
- I’m glad to go all have the complete album. The sound, for me was great. Yes, some noice was heard but nothing that a good sonic cleaning couldn’t take care of. Highly recommended!!
- I’ve got some surface noise on sides A and B so far, but nothing to make a case over. An interesting sonic journey for sure.
- Very sorry to read hear that other people are disappointed with the copy of this record they received. Not sure where this was pressed, perhaps in various locations. I am just finishing up side 4 and it has been a wonderful experience hearing this full score on vinyl for the first time. It really is great work, and I have absolutely no issues with my copy, which is flat and dead quiet and sounds fantastic.
- Edited one year agoVery relieved to report, after reading about others' issues, mine is perfect: flat, zero defects and, one thumbprint aside, clean.
