The music is great, the pressing is OK. It does have a bit of surface noise even after thoroughly cleaned and it does sound a bit compressed, but that's probably the way it was mixed. Still sounds better than the CD

This is still available with a few copies left on amazon currently. Mine shipped today. It's $54 but that's the lowest I've ever seen it in 8 months. I will check the deadwax and post it so we know which version this really is. I assume it's the "newest" one.

My copy sounds decent, but the bass is lacking. I have to crank up the bass to make it sound good to my ears. Maybe they turned down bass to fit 47 minutes into two sides.

What makes this materially different enough to know this is a reissue and not just a warehouse find? Matador normally makes quite a to do about reissues as they did with Mass Romantic. They have enough business sense to realize they could repress 10,000 of these and not be stuck with them, so why repress such a small number that it sells out in a day on there website with no advertising? It's gotta be a warehouse find. If anyone could post the run-outs we could know for sure.

Not a bad pressing. Just glad to finally have it on vinyl and at a reasonable price

Interested to see this new entry. The band were selling the vinyl at their recent anniversary shows. Didn’t pick one up as I have OP but was curious if it was a new pressing. Seems like it is.

Did the original pressing come with a download code? I was able to purchase a new copy of Twin Cinema from a 3rd party seller on Amazon, it does not have the 150 gram sticker or the RTI sticker. It has a sticker on the lower left corner that says includes free download of the entire album with the Matador logo underneath. The Run outs match the first pressing, the RTI page doesn't have the run outs. Had a really nice high quality inner sleeve, double sided insert and the download card. Sound great. It doesn't totally match either listing.

This Canadian supergroup no one saw coming (Neko Case in an indie pop band? Wha?) debuted with Mass Romantic, one of the best records of the early '00s, an unstoppable barrage of power pop hooks, song after amazing song. Though they slumped ever so slightly with their 2003 follow-up Electric Version (it was still excellent), they seemed to get their full mojo back on 2005's Twin Cinema. With benefit of hindsight, this is probably the band's best album pound for pound, with all players at the peak of their powers, and just about ever song is a total banger. The balance and interplay between Case, A.C. Newman, and Dan Bejar is so seamless. A must-hear album for any indie-rock or power-pop fan.
