Creedence Clearwater Revival – Willy And The Poor Boys

My VG+ copy of this pressing sounds absolutely fantastic. Very dynamic and in your face. My copy is generally very quiet with the minimal amount of crackles, so nothing wrong with the vinyl quality of my copy either.

Really like the mastering on this this, well balanced with good snap for a digital source. Some noise even after ultrasonic clean on my copy, not bad at all but yea wish it was black vinyl pressed at RTI. Quality cover and the photo is a great extra. Would be happy to have all the CCRs with this quality.

Given the circumstances I think it would be hard to find a definitively better sounding pressing. I gave mine a cleaning and it sounds very good.

From what I'm reading, this was from a digital source. I can't complain though. It sounds really good with plenty of detail.

I was happy to see they actually used a VMP branded, clear antistatic inner similar to a MoFi on this release. Saved me having to use one of my own.

Sounds about as good as the AP pressing to me.
Honestly, not a great recording to begin with. Great music that was poorly recorded.
This pressing is worthwhile though. Very nicely done.

Any comparisons vs the DCC/AP Hoffman/Kg? Shame this isn’t AAA.

Sounds great per usual for a RKS remaster. Definitely better than my original. Dead silent vinyl which is impressive for a splatter. Do miss the booklet that would have previously come with every Essentials track release and not a fan of the zine way VMP has gone for that. This makes me wish they had done more CCR albums and released them as exclusives like they did with Fleetwood Mac.

This is the one to own! Very dynamic, thumping bass! Deep Grooves, sonic delight!

This 2008 pressing is an extremely good sounding pressing. Got the 2008 pressing of Cosmo’s Factory which sounds awesome too.
