This is an excellent repress of the classic Darkthrone debut. The artwork and insert are just as you hope with high quality printing. The sound is just as good as the original press: you can hear the bass clearly and the drum is powerful throughout the record. Too much ado nowadays about compressed sound and this and that. Even some dare to complain about "surface noise", which leads you to question whether they actually ever listened to a vinyl before this new wave of vinyl mania broke out... This pressing really rules.

Well, isn’t this just a treat to have in your collection or what? This is a incredible album. Darkthrone even beat out the swedish with this one in my opinion. The picture disc itself is really amazing! I really love the high quality art print, and the exclusive back cover is so sick! With the photos of the band, cool quotes, and a red baphomet picture. The sound is quite remarkable on this release too. I bought mine used and this is from 1991, it only has moderate surface noise and a couple minor pops, other than that is is perfect. And the music overshadows the surface noise to the point I cannot hear any background noise most of the time. This is a great version of this album to grab! Fantastic for playing, displaying, and a awesome historical piece of Darkthrone! All tracks are too good and cohesive to say what my favorites are! Only gripe is that Eon is not on this or any other early vinyl pressings. I have the CD to solve that though! Get this thing before it gets even more rare and expensive!

Rare official early 2000's Swedish released picture disc lp. 500 only made. Licensed from Peaceville records to GMR Music issued on the 'Collectors Picture Disc' label. (Later to become 'VINYL Maniacs'.

Never understood negative comments, this is a great sounding reissue. It has everything you demand from a Death Metal record, great bottom end, punchy and deep, great separation, good dynamic, very powerful and clean sound. Nothing is flat here or muffled. Of course I wonder how the first press sounds... But being totally honest I have several first presses of 80's and 90's Thrash and Death albums and this one sounds way better than many of them.

I seem to have this version, but it's not the 180g, Not sure how to list it.

Probably there is a mispress as well out there...

Hey! My copy has the right tracks on A side and on B side, and I am 100% sure it's this version.
I wonder if the mispress is only a certain amount of copies of this edition.
